Sniper Training (HAST)

Course Description

Precision engagement in mountainous and elevated terrain. Program design covers high-angle formula application, mountain hide-site construction, live-fire mountain stalks, and point-of-origin detection in complex vertical terrain. Developed around available high-angle range infrastructure and elevation profile.

Course Objectives

• Conduct live fire mountain stalks while remaining undetected
  
• Construct mountain hide-sites
  
• Identify enemy sniper point of origin within a mountainous environment
  
• Engage multiple targets using the high angle formula
  
• Engage multiple targets using alternate shooting positions
  
• Complete the Target Acquisition Drill (TAD) with a score of 80 or better
  
• Demonstrate mountain sniper techniques and procedures during team shooting competitions
